| Today’s
high school students find themselves heading into a world filled
with complicated environmental issues. Through this day-long workshop
students will not only be trained in wetland ecology, but equipped
with leadership tools that will help them to make a difference in
their environment and community.
This program is ideal for Service
Learning and Ecology Clubs, or any high school students with an
interest in nature and their community. This is a fun, hands-on way
for students to explore wetlands and build their confidence as a
youth
leader.
The
Wetland
Youth Leadership
program also fulfils the requirements for the GIrl Scout Eco-Interest
Project.
The cost of the workshop includes a Wetland Youth
Leadership Handbook, a complimentary t-shirt, a copy of
the Wetlands 101 for Kids Powerpoint, and other supplies. Certified
Wetland Youth Leaders will gain exclusive access to the online
Wetland Youth Leadership forum.
