Dive Right In!

S.M.A.R.T students practice kicknetting and dipnetting to see what they find in a freshwater marsh, and a brackish creek. Students found everything from beetles and worms to crabs and shrimp to larvae and clams!

S.M.A.R.T students use microscopes and viewers to investigate the health of San Domingo creek and a nearby marsh. Students used charts and books to look up what kind of organisms they were seeing, and how high a pollution tolerance the creatures had.
