Eastern shore culture and environment converge at Environmental Concern’s wetland learning campus nestled on the banks of San Domingo Creek. The property features a working native plant nursery, four distinct wetland types (salt marsh, freshwater marsh, forested wetland, nutrient management ponds), native plant gardens, and an indoor classroom. Next door is the St. Michael’s Town Dock where the watermen haul in their catches from the Bay, the Town of St. Michaels, steeped in history, is a short walk, and soon the St. Michaels Nature Trail will meander through the property – providing 1 mile of Bay study area.
Open year-round for programs and tours for high schools, watershed groups, community groups, and garden clubs.
